Be warned that if you don’t keep up to date with your payments of rates, car fines, burial costs etc. you may find your bank account frozen or your assets seized.
The Government has recently decided to take action against some 100,000 debtors and it works like this:
if they get no reply after their final demands they can (and will) freeze your bank account.
Some 500 debtors bank accounts have already been frozen so don’t think it can’t happen to you.
If the Government cannot trace a bank account for you, don’t think you’re safe, they can place a seizure order on your property (house, car etc.) and sell it in order to recover the debt.
Remember, there’s rarely any hiding place from the Government.
